Glazed composition pyxis; almost cylindrical, slightly fared at the base, with two concentric rings below the rim, two opposing projecting loops on the interior rim for securing pins (missing); with a separate lid with central knob handle, decorated with a moulded rosette with alternating yellow and green petals.

- Offered for auction Christie's London, 10th July 1991, lot 25; then Merrin Gallery, New York; purchased by an American buyer; then offered for auction at Bonhams London, 3rd July 2019, lot 189, where described as "a Neo-Assyrian pale cream faience lidded pyxis, circa 9th-8th century BC" and compared with another in the BM: 1972,0413.1.
