Village man’s waistcoat (sidriyeh) made of “ghabani” fabric – a Syrian made cream coloured cotton, embroidered with chain stitch in silk thread. Backed and lined with cream coloured cotton. The front opening is trimmed and couching embroidered with cream coloured braided cord, with loops and bobbles for closures. A strip of pale brown broadcloth is stitched behind the cord loops.

- CMJ sewn label on the collar: “Jewish Boy.” This indicates that the garment was used as part of tableaux or performances by the CMJ, and not necessarily only historically worn by Jewish boys.
