Pair of heavy silver hinged anklets; hollow and tubular and entirely decorated with intricate chased and punched designs including a diaper pattern, floral and leaf designs, circles and beaded wire. The anklets open from the front and have a large faceted clasp that is closed with a silver screw-pin decorated with chased lines on its conical head. A set of three small jingling bells are fastened to the front and pin of the anklets. Anklet (b) is missing its pin. Worn in paired sets.

- This object is part of a large collection of items donated by Leila Ingrams in 2012 (2012,6030.1ff). Some were collected by her parents, Doreen and Harold Ingrams, between the 1920s-40s and others by Leila herself from the 1980s-2005 on the island of Zanzibar and in Hadramawt, Yemen.
