Long steel dagger (jambiyya) and dagger-sheath. Hilt and dagger-sheath are made of wood covered in silver-plated metal. The dagger-sheath is covered on the front with a textile and an elaborately decorated pierced silver-plated metal casing with filigree work and granulation. The hilt, with semi-circular head, is similarly decorated with filigree and granulation with floral elements.

- Presented to Geoffrey House, Head of Exhibitions at the British Museum, by the Minister of Culture of Yemen, from Sanaa, HE Abdul-Wahab M. Al-Rawhani, for the opening of the Queen of Sheba exhibition in 2002. Acquired by the Dept of Ethnography (now AOA) and used as part of the handling collection at the Museum of Mankind. Transferred to the Dept of the Middle East in 2012 on account of its Yemeni provenance.
