Incense burner (mabkharah) made of pottery on a hollow conical base with a round bowl surmounted by four bands of clay that are joined together at the top with a clay loop, which is used to carry the incense burner. Lime-washed on the interior and painted red with bands and cross-hatched lines painted in silver pigments on the exterior.

- Part of a donation of objects by Universal Travel and Tourism, Sanaa, to Arts Worldwide UK for its 1987 Yemen Festival and subsequently presented to the BM's Dept of Ethnography (now AOA) after the festival. Used as part of the handling collection at the Museum of Mankind. Transferred to the Dept of the Middle East in 2012 on account of its Yemeni provenance.
