- Curator's comments
- Perfume was a higher value purchase for pilgrims and many of these sold in Mecca and Medina take the shape of the Ka'ba, Maqam Ibrahim or other holy structures. Some claim the perfume to be reminiscent of the perfume used on the Black Stone, a distinctive smell which is also used on the Ka'ba. (note by Qaisra Khan)
