Woman's dress in pink velvet. Decorated with silk embroidery and mirrorwork. The bodice, pudo (front pocket from waist to hem), hem and cuffs are densely worked in geometric patterns of black, red, green, yellow, purple, white, pink and orange embroidery. Shisha-work (mirror-work) on the front, hem and cuffs. Machine embroidery in black thread and rick-rack trim on the cuffs and hem. The back panel is made from a dark green cotton panel with pink flowers.Two slits have been cut into the garment to facilitate breastfeeding.

- A similar dress is published in, Sheila Paine, 'Embroidery from Afghanistan', BM Press, 2006, pp.68-71, from the Baluch People of Southern Afghanistan. Note the pudo pocket, shisha work and breast slits on this dress. According to Sheila Paine, 'The women often keep money or keys in [the pudo pocket], though it can be merely decorative', p.68.
