Ixlaṣ Khán; single-page painting mounted on an album folio. Figure stands against aqua blue ground wearing a pink tunic, bejeweled and beplumed turban with embroidered furtrimmed jacket and scarf. Carries sword sheathed in red and round shield. Golden aureole around head; basic blue sky and green landscape at top and bottom of image, respectively. Inscribed to left of figure and caption below image. Framed by a gold-speckled beige border with gold scrolling vines; page cut before mounted into album. Album contains 67 Deccani paintings, mostly depictions of named individuals, along with some Hindu gods and goddesses.
Ink, opaque watercolour and gold on paper. Album bound in blue-green leather and stamped with Sloane's gilded armorial on front and back cover.
