Portrait of a Yeniceri, or Janissary; painting mounted onto an album folio, B side. He wears the Janissary headdress, white felt with a gold brim and a plume-holder. Dark blue sleeveless kaftan, pale blue tunic, silver girdle, red trousers, brown shoes. He holds a staff. Cut-outs in gold paper of tulips on either side. Inscribed. Album contains sixty folios with fifty-nine paintings of figures, and additional découpages, including floral and vegetal decoration in some margins.
Ink and opaque watercolour, with découpage on paper. Album covered with green leather.
