- Curator's comments
- Described by Nicolle as a "stucco plaque" of a stocky galloping horse wearing a scale armour trapper and saddle, and attributed to southern Iran. However, it is more likely to date to the 3rd century AD judging by the similarity to horse armour excavated at Dura, and is actually a mould-pressed terracotta plaque, probably from southern Iraq.
