- Curator's comments
- This and a few other objects, including a spearhead and some pottery, are all said to have been found in or beside a stone-lined grave in a mound some four metres high. The body was apparently crouched in an upright position, as if sitting. This must have been a person of some importance.
A similar bull is published in A.P.Kozloff "Ancient Animals from the Leo Mildenburg Collection" (Indiana University Press).
