Woman and boy going to the hammam; single-page painting mounted on album folio. The woman is carrying on her head the metal container, covered with red cloth and set with metal, which was used for carrying clean clothes and as a bucket at the hammam. She is wearing a mauve kaftan lined with pink, a cloth over her head, white slippers and robe. The boy has a blue tunic, gold belt, red tights, white slippers and a blue cap with a white scarf round it. Inscribed. Album contains 124 paintings of Turkish sultans and court officials.
Ink, opaque watercolour and gold on paper. Album bound in green leather with pages of Persian paper, according to inscription. Page edges gilded with gold.
