Portrait of Ṣadiq Xán; single-page tinted drawing mounted on a detached album folio. Figure is shown in profile, leaning on a staff, wearing tunic with gold detailing, patterned sash and bejeweled turban. He carries a sword at his hip. Framed by thin orange and green borders with gold patterning; margin decorated with wider border of marbled flowering plants on neutral ground; entire folio bordered by a thin, green adhesive strip. Folio belongs to a series of single-page paintings and drawings of Indian rulers, all of which were once attached to the leaves of the album 1920, 0917, 0.13, also housed in the British Museum collection.
