Portrait of ʿAlá al-Mulk Túní Fáḍil Xán; single-page tinted drawing mounted on a detached album folio. Figure stands in profile on neutral ground. Beard is accented in colour. Framed by bands of blue with gold foliate design along upper and lower edges of image followed by thin red and blue borders with scrolling gold foliate design; margin decorated with marbled green plants on neutral ground; entire folio bordered by a thin, green adhesive strip. Inscribed. Folio belongs to a series of single-page paintings and drawings of Indian rulers, all of which were once attached to the leaves of the album 1920,0917,0.13, also housed in the British Museum collection.
