Portrait of Saʿíd Xán Bahádur Ẓafar Jang; single-page painting mounted on a detached album folio. The governer of Kabul stands in profile wearing a green tunic and carrying a dagger, sword and shield. Blue ground with cottony white clouds. Flowering plants along lower edge. Framed by pink border with gold floral motifs; margin decorated with motif of alternating pink and red flowering plants outlined in gold against neutral ground; entire folio bordered by a thin, green adhesive strip. Inscribed. Folio belongs to a series of single-page paintings and drawings of Indian rulers, all of which were once attached to the leaves of the album 1920,0917,0.13, also housed in the British Museum collection.
