Four portraits; single-page painting mounted on a detached album folio. Upper lefthand corner: Akbar; upper righthand corner: Jahangir; lower lefthand corner: ʿAbd ar-Rahim Khan Khanan; lower righthand corner: page with a fly-whisk. Upper left and righthand portraits separated by a rectangular decorative panel. Bands of dark blue with ornate gold flowering motifs placed along top, bottom and in between upper and lower portraits. Framed by thin orange and green borders with gold floral motifs; margin decorated with marbled green flowering plants outlined in gold on neutral ground; entire folio bordered by a thin, green adhesive strip. Inscribed. Folio belongs to a series of single-page paintings and drawings of Indian rulers, all of which were once attached to the leaves of the album 1920,0917,0.13, also housed in the British Museum collection.
