Portrait of Mírza Bahmányár Iʿtiqád Xán, son of Asaf Khan; single-page painting mounted on a detached album folio. Figure shown in profile wearing white tunic and matching turban; carries dagger and sword. Light blue ground; red, blue and gold sky with cottony clouds. Framed by an orange border with gold motifs; margin decorated with motif of alternating pink and red flowering plants outlined in gold against neutral ground. Inscribed. Folio belongs to a series of single-page paintings and drawings of Indian rulers, all of which were once attached to the leaves of the album 1920,0917,0.13, also housed in the British Museum collection.
