Emperor Jahangir hunting with hawks; single-page painting mounted on detached album folio. Ruler shown under canopy in boat with attendants, hawking on lake with mountains in the background. Gold border decorated with polychrome floral motifs. Inscribed.
Ink, opaque watercolour and gold on paper.

- The principal figure featured in this royal hunting expedition has been identified as the Mughal emperor Jahangir, although an inscription to the left just above his profile but under the canopy identifies him as the emperor Akbar, Jahangir's father and predecessor.
