Copper alloy shallow lobed bowl with shallow central omphalos and hammered repoussé decoration of 15 shallow radiating pointed petals alternating with deeply recessed tear-shaped lobes and bosses; edges of lobes and petals highlighted with chasing; lightly engraved decoration of lotus flowers between each of the lobes on the exterior, with the tips of the flowers indicated by punching; centering mark on the underside of the omphalos; two possibly deliberately engraved marks on the exterior, one an equal-armed cross between the rim and the tip of one lotus flower, the second in a similar position, five lobes distant, and consisting of a V-shaped fork with a cross line immediately below
