- Description

Part of a chariot model. Gold sheet cut-out figure of horse: with the muscles indicated by punching and embossed details. The mouth is pierced to receive a rein formed by a flat strip of gold. There are the remains of an attached yoke with a circular yoke-standard and a short length of rein. A circular disc in the centre is attached to a bifurcated wire applied to the neck. This must originally have been a draught horse for a model chariot, possibly also made of metal sheet.
