Description
Rim sherd of flat-rimmed bowl. Made of fritty earthenware; finely decorated underglaze in blue and black with lotus medallions on ground of stylised animals' heads. Rim with alternate bars and palmettes in reserve. Outside alternating stripes of blue and black; also white. The decoration is plainly related to contemporary inlaid metalwork.
