Curator's comments
Previously understood to be an inscribed cone. For the interpretation as the lower part of a statue see Walker and Collon in L. de Meyer (ed.), 'Tell ed-Der', vol. III 106 no.98. LIH 2 98. The object has been split longitudinally and the upper portion - which had the bust and head of the king in question - broken off.
