Bottle, polychrome glazed pottery. Globular form with a sloping shoulder and narrow slightly everted neck, on a splayed foot-ring. It is painted with pairs of red stripes and clusters of blue triple spots tipped with smaller green spots outlined in black, with minor bands of lobed zigzag and meander pattern above and below. The shoulder is painted with stiff lappets with bole red spines. The neck, which is reduced and has a break, repeats the stripes-and-spots design of the body and is repaired with gilt-copper mounts of swagged design (possibly Ottoman, eighteenth century). A further gilt-copper mount encircles the foot.
