- Description

Top of a worn, limestone stela. Within a rectangular frame with a rope border is a scene showing 3 deities. In the centre, in a gabled shrine with a bird in each corner, a beardless god sits on a stool. On the floor next to the stool are three small bowls, one above the other. He wears a "humation" which leaves the chest bare. In his right hand he holds up a large flat plate or mirror. The left arm extends into a damaged part of the stela. Flanking him are 2 standing goddesses. The goddess on his right wears a helmet and holds a spear in her right hand and a shield in her left (Athena). On his left another goddess holds a long spear or thyrsus in her left hand. She has long hair ending in two curls on her shoulders, reminiscent of the goddess, Hathor. Her right hand is extended down towards the shrine and a bird at her feet. Just above her head is another bird. Both goddesses wear "peploi". In the field are 2 four-petalled rosettes with central bosses. Below this scene is a large shell.
