From a series of thirteen plates representing various views of Rueil, engraved by Perelle and Silvestre after designs by the latter, and published by Henriet in 1661.
The château of Ruel, along with its park, had been the property of Richelieu before the latter left it to his niece, the Duchess of Aiguillon, to whom the set is dedicated.
