- For another impression, see 1859,0709.2376. After a drawing by Parmigianino, now rediscovered: see David Ekserdjian in `Master Drawings`, 2008, pp.367-73. Ugo da Carpi must have employed a drawn copy of Parmigianino's drawing for his woodcut.
The present print was exhibited with Goltzius` `Hercules and Cacus` woodcut, 1895,0607.83, in the 2014 exhibition of German post-war works on paper from the Duerckheim collection in the P&D galleries (see 1895,0607.83).
