- For comment on series see 1895,0122.1280. Naoko Takahatake considers this impression to have been printed in the Vicentino workshop in the 1540s. It is the only impression of this woodcut in the BM.
It is after a drawing by Parmigianino, possibly that in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (Inv. No. 6488/3). (A. E. Popham, Catalogue of Drawings by Parmigianino, 1971, vol. I, p. 157, no. 474).
