- Curator's comments
- Traditionally attributed to Wenceslaus Hollar (and so in LB), but certainly by Phillips. Phillips advertised in the London Gazette no.1997 (5-8 January 1684/5) four large prospects of Tangier, two before and two after the destruction of the fortifications (the full text is quoted by Croft-Murray). Impressions of the four plates by N.Yeates and I.Collins are in the Pepys Library (2985, 294 to 307).
