- This and Pp,2.185 are the only known preparatory drawings for the decoration of Eleonora of Toledo's 'quartiere' in the Palazzo Vecchio. Both studies pertain, as Paola Barocchi was the first to note, to one of the eight allegories adorning the ceiling of the Hall of the Sabines. The resulting paintings were largely executed by Stradanus in 1560-1, together with other assistants of Vasari's. For this reason Barocchi attributed to both sheets to Naldini, however, as Härb notes, Naldini is not known to have worked on this cycle, joining the bottega after its completion.
