An attribution to Lucas Vorsterman is plausible.
Original unknown. What seems to be another copy of it is in the Museum of the Rhode Island School of Design (20.517). An original drawing of the same head from a different angle is at Windsor (0580; Popham, no. 578). Pp,2.178 and Pp,2.180 have not quite the same appearance as the other copies presumed to be by Vorsterman.
