An attribution to Lucas Vorsterman is plausible. Copy of a drawing in the Louvre (6471), probably for a minor decorative figure in the Steccata.
Copy of a drawing in the Louvre (6471; photo. Gernsheim 6978; 1964 Exh. Cat., no. 88), on which the separate study of the arm does not appear. This is probably for a minor decorative figure in the Steccata. Other studies for the same are in the Louvre (R.F. 579; photo. Gernsheim 7026; 1964 Exh. Cat., no. 87) and in the Fondazione Home, Florence (5630 and 5631; Licia Ragghianti Collobi, 'Disegni della Fondazione Horne in Firenze', 1963, pls. 36 and 37). Studies for a similar figure, which does occur in the Steccata (Quintavalle, pl. 67c), are in Budapest (1885; Fröhlich-Bum, fig. 106) and in the Seilern Collection in London.
