Ball room at Versailles with the masked ball held on 25 February 1745 on the occasion of the marriage of Louis, Dauphin of France to Maria Theresa of Spain; Louis XV and his companions are disguised as yew trees, and the woman dressed as a pilgrim next to them may be the Marchioness of Pompadour. 1746

- Masked ball given by the King in the Grande Galerie du Château de Versailles, on the evening of 25-26th February 1745, for the marriage of the Dauphin. Drawn from life by the younger Cochin and engraved by the elder, his father, in 1746.
