'Compositions by John Flaxman, sculptor, R.A. from the Divine poem of Dante Alighieri, containing Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. With quotations from the Italian, and translations from the version of the Reverend H. Boyd to each plate' (London: Longman & Co and others) 1807; containing title-sheet, illustrated title-sheet, 38 plates for 'Hell', 39 plates for 'Purgatory' (the first plate unnumbered), and 33 plates for 'Heaven', a drawing tipped-in between plates 22 and 23; each plate title and plate number above, characters' names and quotations in English and Italian below. Bound in brown half-leather with marbled covers, raised bands and gold title on spine, marbled endpapers.
