Portrait of Ann Catley in the character of Rachel from Richard Brome's 'The Jovial Crew', study for Bell's British Theatre; whole-length, standing turned slightly to left with head in profile, arms held out in front of her; wearing purplish-pink and white panniered dress with yellow ribbons, frilled skirts, puffed overskirt, gathered sleeves and frilled apron, which she holds in her left hand, frilled cap decorated with yellow bows, and long brown gloves. 1781 Pen and ink with watercolour on pasteboard
