Frontispiece from Bell's British Theatre; portrait of the actor Robert Bensley in the title character from Edward Young's play; full-length, standing to front with head in profile to left, right hand (unseen) to hip, left arm outstretched and gesturing to right, wearing eastern costume of patterned pantaloons, fur-trimmed jacket, ermine-trimmed, patterned and trailing cloak, and wide scarf tied at waist, with bird-handled sword to left side; headdress of crown, striped scarf fastened with brooch as if turban, and long feathers. 1777
