Portrait of Robert Baddeley in the character of Peter Thump, from 'Henry VI, Part 2', study for Bell's Shakespeare; whole-length, standing in interior, directed as if turning to right, with right foot behind and left forward, right arm held slightly out with open hand, palm downwards, a mug held up in his left hand; looking mournfully to right, with wild hair; in breeches, waistcoat and short-sleeved shirt with frilled collar; drum, stick and cloak behind to right.
