Acquisition notes
For J T Smith's purchases at the Lawrence sale, see Ii,16.2. This is the missing Ii,16.8 in a portfolio of acquisitions of Marcantonio and his school made by J T Smith at the Lawrence sale in 1830, described as 'Leda and the swan (larger)', by Enea Vico. This is confirmed by the pencil number '8' on the verso.
