Plate 21: The Treaty of Angoulême or The Reconciliation with Louis XIII; Marie de' Medici enthroned in front of a monumental arch at right, accompanied by Prudence, the queen accepting a laurel branch from Mercury who stands naked at left together with Cardinal de La Rochefoucauld, while Cardinal de la Valette (archbishop at the time) touches the queen's arm in a gesture of refusal; from an album containing twenty-five engravings; trimmed and pasted onto a sheet, surrounded by double borderline in pen and ink; after Peter Paul Rubens. c.1707-1710
