Woods compares the straight line of the ovolo with the example in the Portico of Philip at Delos, Vol. III, ch. 10, pl. IV. He adds that the church of Stauromenos Petros was probably built on the ruins of the Temple of Diana Agroteria and mentions other pieces of ancient sculpture in this church and at Mendeli.
