- Etched as plate 11 by Rademaker in his 'Kabinet van Nederlandsche ... Outheden', see 1875,0508.155-456.
This is copied after a drawing by Claes Jansz Visscher, dated 1607, formerly in the collection of Curtis O Baer [information from David Kaaring]; see E. Zafran, 'Master Drawings from Titian to Picasso: The Curtis O. Baer Collection', exh.cat. High Museum of Art, Atlanta, 1985, cat.no.134. This explains the date 1607 on the etching.
For a Rembrandt drawing of the same tower see F. Lugt, 'Mit Rembrandt in Amsterdam', Berlin, 1920, p.30.
