- Hind: Dutch XVIIc Anonymous. Near in style to Govert Flinck.
The traces of white chalk on the verso are unusual. It may be that the white chalk was used to rub the verso in order to create an offset of the drawing on another piece of paper; and that the white chalk was subsequently brushed away.
