- This landscape drawing was formerly attributed to Anthony Van Dyck on the basis of comparison with landscapes that the artist made in pen and ink with the application of watercolours in brown, green and blue. Compare for instance, the Farmhouse near a Brook with cattle (inv. 1885,0509.46). However, Royalton-Kisch determined this drawing to be more characteristic of Lucas van Uden for whom a large number of his watercolour landscapes are also in the BM (see for instance 1946,0713.180 and Gg,2.296).
