An ornamental ticket printed on the Thames during the Frost Fair of 1739-40; a tablet in centre with letterpress including the name "Mr John Cross, aged 6" and a short rhyme; a decorated frame surrounds tablet and the Maidenhead in an oval frame at the top, surrounded by flowers and fruit, and below tablet two vignettes of 'the Letter Press; and 'the Rolling Press'; decorative background. 1740

The print surrounding the letterpress was originally used as the trade card of the printers William and Cluer Dicey; the central lettering has been replaced with the Frost Fair letterpress (see Heal,59.56).
