Description
The shrouded effigy of John Donne in St Paul's; in a black niche the figure of Donne stands in his winding sheet, his feet in an urn; a square tablet over niche, above which supported by fruit and leaves is a coat of arms; at top a further coat of arms to left and dedication to right; illustration to William Dugdale's 'The History of St Pauls Cathedral in London' (London, 1658 and 1716).
