The Tower of Babel; The construction of a massive tower; below the architect points skywards (holding a compass and a shield with a rampant lion) and converses with his foreman; the scene is a busy construction site with workers pushing barrows and chipping away at stone etc; the tower is unfinished and has wooden scaffolding and winches at the summit
