C,2.1474: Ticket, "March 29th 1799 / Prophecy and Ocean"; Poseidon seated on river monster, with trident and caduceus, pointing towards plaque lettered "Will be performed at the Theatre Royal Hay Market, the Prophecy a Sacred Oratorio in two parts, & Ocean an ode in onde part, composed by T. Busby", and in lower margin "Black Sct Change Alley".
C,2.1475: Ticket, "For the Oratorio of RUTH, (Composed by Mr Giardini) in the FOundling Hospital Chapel, Wednesday the 25th of April, 1787. The Doors to be opend at Eleven o'Clock. To begin at 12 precisely. Tickets half a guinea each." Signed by treasurer. At top a vignette of a baby in basket on a river close to bank, being discovered by a family; a woman reaches down to retrieve the child. Charity with her three children at bottom.
