- Curator's comments
- Perry has said that starting points for this print included traditional Chinese scrolls (hence the pointed mountains in the background), American artist Henry Darger (1892-1973), who made paintings of a similar size and format, and the history and geography of Venice. Perry made the print for an exhibition he had in Venice and it was published by Paragon Press, London in an edition of 59.
