- From a series of five prints produced in 2016-17 with the printer Trent Walter at Negative Press, Brunswick, Melbourne in an edition of 20 (2019,7019.26-30). The compositions first appeared as monotypes. Brent Harris has described the process of developing them: the monotype 'was scanned to produce a digital file... the image is then digitally altered and resized before being transferred to a film ready for the making of the new photopolymer plate. The film is then transferred to a photo-sensitized steel (photopolymer or 'solar') plate via a UV exposure unit, using a stochastic screen to create the tone... Then the plate is processed in water, in effect etching the image onto the photopolymer surface. The image is then hardened onto the steel plate by another exposure to UV light and it is then ready for normal printing as in zinc/copper intaglio or aquatint' (notes from Brent Harris, 'The making of "the other side" 2016-17', document in artist's file in Prints and Drawings).
