- John Christian purchased this drawing at Phillips Auctioneers sale of Watercolours, Drawings and Illustrations, 2pm Monday 6th November, 2000 101 New Bond Street London.
He retained the invoice for Sale no 30995, Bid No 720, Lot No 24 dated 06.11.00.
Acquired by The British Museum attached to a card mount stamped:
"Mounted by Christopher Harrap. 4 St George Street. W1."
