- John Christian appears to have purchased this drawing from Abbott & Holder. It was acquired by The British Museum in one of Abbott & Holder's mounts, annotated: "Thomas Unwins RA, illustration of Southey 1782-1857 Pen and ink."
The back of the mount and the back of the drawing are annotated with the Abbott & Holder stock number "33529" and the back of the mount is annotated: "Christian for 05/01/95."
